Mango:
Quick and easy way to grow a beautiful mango tree from any store-bought mango.Step: 1
Start by removing as much flesh as possible without damaging the seed.
Step: 2
Now use the backside of your knife to scrape away the last fruit flesh. Dry the seed using a paper towel.
Step: 3
Next step is to break open the husk and remove the inner seed. If your seed husk is not already cracked. You can use a knife to carefully slice a small opening on the thinnest side of your mango seed.
Step: 4
Remove the protective paper around the seed.
Step: 5
Place the seed on a wet paper towel.
Step: 6
Fold the paper. Make sure it’s easy to open later.
Step: 7
Now put your wet paper towel inside a box or a plastic bag. Check once a week. Change the paper if any mold starts appearing. It usually takes about 1-2 weeks for the germination process to start.
Step: 8
When your seed has germinated and has formed a 2 cm or bigger root. Than it’s ready to be planted.
Step: 9
When placing a seed in the ground always think of how they would land in nature. In this case the mango seed would fall on its side. So place the seed on its side, with the root at the center of your pot. now cover it up with about 2 cm of soil.
Step: 10
After a few weeks your mango tree should be ready to be planted outside. Only plant your tree outside if you have warm winters. The temperature has to be atleast above freezing at all times. If you decide to keep your tree inside. Make sure you change the potting container and soil when the tree grows bigger. I recommed you repot your mango tree atleast once every year. (Source)
